Bank transfer
WordPress Bank Transfer Donation Plugin
Not every donor wants to pay online. Some prefer the traditional reassurance of a bank transfer, especially for larger gifts. FundCollector handles that path with the same care it gives to PayPal and Mollie — and it does it in the free version.
When bank transfer is the right choice
Bank transfer makes sense for several real situations. Older donors who do not feel at ease entering card details online. Larger gifts where the donor wants a paper trail. Local supporters who already use the same bank as your organization. Institutional donors and grant disbursements that simply do not happen by card.
Forcing those donors through PayPal or Mollie can quietly cost you donations. Letting them choose bank transfer recovers them.
What FundCollector does for bank transfers
- Bank details on the form. Show IBAN, BIC, account holder and any custom payment instructions directly inside the donation flow.
- Customizable instructions. Tailor the language to your country's banking norms and your organization's reference convention.
- Pending status. Donations are recorded as pending until the transfer arrives, so promised funds and received funds stay visually distinct in your dashboard.
- Confirmation email with payment instructions. The donor receives the bank details by email, so they can complete the transfer later without going back to your website.
- Admin notification. Your team is alerted to follow up and reconcile the transfer when it lands.
Reconciliation that does not become a chore
The honest part of bank transfers is that they require a manual confirmation step. The bank does not tell WordPress when the money arrives. FundCollector keeps that step short: when you spot the transfer in your bank account, you mark the donation as completed in the WordPress admin, and the donor's record is updated. Email templates can be customized to send a thank-you the moment you confirm.
Bank transfer alongside other methods
You do not have to pick one payment method. FundCollector lets PayPal, Mollie (Pro) and bank transfer coexist on the same donation form, and donors choose what fits them. Smaller card-friendly donors take Mollie or PayPal; larger or more traditional donors take bank transfer; nobody gets pushed away.
Pricing
Bank transfer is included in FundCollector Free on WordPress.org. There is nothing to buy and no platform fee. Pro at $59/year adds Mollie, recurring donations, PDF reports, CSV export and backup & restore — see the pricing page for details.
