PayPal’s Donate button is a simple widget that collects payments via PayPal without tracking donors or managing donation data on your site. Yes, FundCollector requires a PayPal Business account to use the PayPal gateway. A PayPal Business account is completely free and gives you access to the REST API, credit/debit card payments and webhook configuration. You can create one at paypal.com.

Mollie is a reliable and well-established payment processor with competitive transaction fees - making it a great complement to PayPal for accepting credit cards. FundCollector Pro integrates Mollie’s embedded card form (Mollie Components): donors enter their card details directly on your donation page, and payment is then securely finalized through Mollie. That keeps card entry on your site while still using Mollie’s trusted checkout flow. Note: Mollie is available for organizations based in Europe. If your organization is outside Europe, you can still accept card donations through PayPal (included in the Free version).

Not yet. Recurring donations are currently processed through Mollie, which requires a merchant account and is available for organizations based in Europe. If your organization is outside Europe, you can accept one-time card donations through PayPal (included in both Free and Pro), but recurring giving is not available to you at the moment. We are working to expand recurring donation support to non-European organizations in a future version of FundCollector.

The Pro license allows you to activate FundCollector Pro on up to 2 WordPress sites. After purchase you receive a license key that you enter in the plugin settings. Each activation is tied to a domain. You can deactivate a site and reactivate on a different one at any time.

The plugin continues to work normally and all your donation data remains intact - nothing is deleted. However, you will no longer receive plugin updates (including security updates and new features) and priority support will no longer be available. You can renew at any time to restore access to updates and support.
